As we begin Week 3 of Mut 22 coins 2021-22 NFL season, EA has updated Madden 22's rosters in order to reflect the Week 2's performance. This week's update wasn't filled with any big surprises, however several notable players saw a boost in their ratings.

The most noticeable modification was the 2 points increase in Rob Gronkowski's overall rating for Tampa Bay Buccaneers tightend. Gronkowski has gone from having an 86 overall launch rating to an overall rating of 89 in just two weeks. In all honesty, he's worthy of the award. Gronk has already amassed 12 receptions, 129 yards and four touchdowns over the course of just two weeks. Gronk is at his peak and I'm confident that this will not be his last season with high ratings.

Another major name that could benefit from a ratings increase is Kansas City Chiefs strong safety Tyrann Mathieu. After missing the start of Week 1 due to positive COVID tests, Mathieu made his season debut in the game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football. It was a fantastic debut as Honey Badger recorded two interceptions and one touchdown. Mathieu's Awareness rating and catch rate rose by one point to a 99 & the other 82, respectively. His overall score now stands at the 96th spot.

The Titans running back Derrick Henry had his ratings changed following a stellar performance against the Seattle Seahawks. However, his rating remains at rating of 96 overall. Henry's start rating took many by surprise as the majority of fans think he's among the top running back in the league. Henry certainly proved his case by running 182 yards and 3 touchdowns during Week 2. Henry's catch increased by two points to a 64 but his break tackle, surprisingly, decreased three points to a 90.

One player worth keeping in mind is Carolina Panthers half back Christian McCaffrey who suffered a hamstring injury in Thursday night's game against the Houston Texans. While injuries aren't usually a factor in player ratings on Madden 22, it will be interesting for Henry to replace him as the best back in Madden 22.
