How to Install Metal Grommets in Drapes from wisepowder's blog

Metal grommets provide a strong barrier between a drape and the metal curtain rod holding the drape over a window. When converting old drapes to grommet-tops or making your own window coverings, you will need to install metal grommets. Installing them correctly will ensure they do not tear at the support points between the drapes and the curtain rod. Using the correct type of metal grommets will reduce the amount of money and time required for the job.To get more news about metal cloth curtain, you can visit boegger.net official website.
Lay a drape flat on a stable surface.

2
Measure down 1 1/2 inches from the top of the drape with a see-through ruler and make a pencil mark on the surface of the fabric. Measure the diameter of the snap-in metal grommets. Make a second pencil mark one-half the grommet diameter down from the 1 1/2-inch mark. Note the total dimension from the top of the curtain to the center mark of the snap-in grommet.
3
Unroll a length of grommet tape. Align one end of the tape with one side of the drape. Pull the tape across the drape and place a vertical -- perpendicular to the top edge of the drape -- pencil mark at the center of each hole in the tape representing a grommet location. This will eliminate the guesswork involved with locating the correct number of grommets for drapes of different widths. Remove the grommet tape.
4
Measure down from the top of the drape at each vertical pencil mark. Place a pencil mark at the dimension you noted from the top of the drape to the center of the grommet. The pencil marks need to cross to show the center of the grommet both vertically and horizontally.
5
Align the center of the template -- supplied with the snap-in grommets -- with the intersection of the two pencil marks. Run the tip of the pencil around the circle section of the template to mark the cutout on the fabric. Mark each location.
6
Open a pair of scissors. Stab a scissor blade through the center a template outline. Cut toward the traced line. Follow the line with the scissors to remove the fabric from the area within the marked circle.
7
Align one-half of a metal snap-in grommet with the cutout. Push the other half of the grommet firmly against the first half until both pieces snap together. Cut out and install the remaining grommets on the drape.
