The final day, perfect time to ski! from freemexy's blog

If I have to choose the a few highlights I’d definitely start with flying the COMAC flight simulator for the C919, China’s first ever designed and built wide-body passenger jet. The plane has yet to enter service — it’s expected around the year 2021 — so I was excited to get to take it to the skies from the captain’s seat in the China Pavilion. The second China International Import Expo will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from November 5 to 10, 2019.For further information about China International Import Expo, please visit: https://www.shine.cn/China-International-Import-Expo/ or

We took off from a virtual Hongqiao airport, flew around Shanghai briefly and then touched back down again at the same airport. My instructor laughed when I asked him if I had done a good job, so I’m not sure if I’ll be quitting my day job just yet.

Another highlight of the week would have to be coming across Triston, a makeup brand out of Switzerland aimed exclusively at men. It was quite refreshing for me as a guy who has to be in front of the camera often enough to need to buy concealer and powder to allow me to look somewhat decent in front of lights.

The company’s CEO, Jennifer Urwyler, is planning on launching her brand in China soon, targeting young, trendy, metropolitan males who just want clear skin. I’m not sure how many of those prerequisites I fit, but I’ll definitely be looking out for them in the near future.

Lastly I really enjoyed skiing in the Ice and Snow Experience area, which has been set up in a way to promote Beijing 2020, the Winter Games.

My ski teacher was shocked to hear that I’m from New Zealand — a country with many a skier — after he saw my lackluster performance on the snow. Maybe I’ll take some lessons when I’m home one time and wow him next year! This year’s expo saw US$71.13 billion worth of tentative deals reached for one-year purchases of goods and services, up 23 percent from last year.
