Vivian and John were active in the Elks Lodge for many years. They enjoyed playing golf, bowling on mixed leagues and going on camping trips to the coast and other parts of Oregon, taking their grandchildren along. After they both retired, Vivian and John made an extended motor home trip and traveled throughout the continental United States and Canada. They previously visited Alaska and Hawaii.

Vivian was preceded in death by her husband in 2002; a grandson; and four siblings.

Survivors include her daughters, Deanna Cox of Oregon City and Linda Faris of Portland; four grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Del was born Nov. 12, 1922, in Willow Springs, Mo., to William and Saphrona (Adams) Rothwell. He was raised and educated in Willow Springs, and later moved to Fresno, Calif.,replica love bangle cartier, with his family.

Del enlisted in the Army in February 1943 and served with the 188th Glider Infantry Regiment and also with the 11th Airborne Division, which led American forces in the occupation of Japan. Del served as a corporal, and he received a Bronze Star and five battle stars without personal wounds before his honorable discharge in 1946.

While in the Army, Del met and married Lois Walker. They later divorced. On March 21, 1953, he married June Rhoads in Carson City, Nev. They moved to the Portland area in 1954.

Del owned and operated Del's Roofing in Gresham until his retirement in 1979. He loved to play golf and with his dogs. He was an avid reader and Civil War buff, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. A collection of his military memoirs is located in the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 2002; and by a sister in November 2008. 14, in Salem from age and complications related to Alzheimer's disease. Friday, Dec. 26, at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd.

Jaydene was born June 21, 1913, in San Francisco. She was adopted by Ned and Victoria Nelson at age 7 and came to live in Oregon. She attended Kelso Elementary School and graduated from Sandy High School.

In April 1930, she married Clark Lund in Salem, and he preceded her in death in 1952. In August 1957, she married Albert McLean.

Jaydene was a homemaker. She enjoyed camping and knitting, and she was a member of knitting and crocheting groups. She also did a lot of entertaining at home with her friends and family. She lived in the Gresham and Sandy areas until 2002, when she moved to Salem.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, in 1996; son, Clark Lund Jr. in 1995; and grandchildren, Susan Kipp, Jonathan Lund, Julie Kipp and Janet Gwaltney.
