SANYA Hydro Flask 32 OZ Wide Mouth With Flat Cap , China, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Italian cyclist Jakub Mareczko of Southeast Team won the 6th stage of 2015 Tour of Hainan in 4 hours 21 minutes and 26 seconds on Sunday.
It was Mareczko's first win in the tournament.
Sacha Modolo from Lampre-Merida Team, who finished third at this stage, still wears the yellow jersey.
The sixth stage stretched from Qiongzhong to Sanya, covering a total distance of 174.1 kilometers with three climbs and two intermediate sprints.
Modolo also keeps the green jersey as the best sprinter, and Andrea Palini who won the second place at the stage, was 9 seconds behind Modolo in the General Individual Classification.
Ma Guangtong from Hengxiang Cycling Team also keeps the blue jersey that represents best Asian rider, while Julien el Fares from Team Marseille 13 Team won the polka-dot jersey as the best climber.
Mareczko said, "My teammates believe in me from the event on, but I had not manage to win yet for different reasons. Finally I made it, that I must thank my team to keep believing me."
This year's Tour of Hainan will last 9 days, and the next stage that scheduled on Monday, will be a stretched race from Sanya to Dongfang, covers 165.7 kilometers.
THREE weeks ago Justin Rose declared last month’s Hong Kong Open would be his last event on the European Tour in 2015. Then he won it, and everything changed.
The Englishman now finds himself looking for back-to-back wins on Chinese soil with one goal in mind, winning the Race to Dubai.
“Sometimes you make decisions based on what you know at the time, right?” Rose said yesterday at Lake Malaren, Shanghai, venue for the US$7 million BMW Masters which starts tomorrow. “Obviously things changed for me.
“Winning in Hong Kong got me closer up the board and made it a realistic prospect to win the Race to Dubai.”
There are two events remaining, this week’s BMW Masters in Shanghai and next week’s season-ending DP Tour Championship in Dubai, UAE.
World No. 6 Rose is fifth in the European Tour Race to Dubai standings on 2,528,224 points — 865,699 behind leader Rory McIlroy. But with 1,333,330 points up for grabs for the winner both this week and next, Rose knows the Race to Dubai is still in his own hands.
“I’m going to have to win one of these last two tournaments, that’s all I know,” Rose said.
“I think if I win one of them and play solid in the other then I’m hard to beat.
“If I go win-win then I’m unbeatable so it’s in my hands, which is the good thing.”
Rose won the old European Tour Order of Merit and the Harry Vardon Trophy back in 2007, two years before it was reincarnated as the Race to Dubai.
It’s clear that he has a burning desire to add the newer version to his bulging CV that includes the 2013 US Open and a combined 34-under-par score in this year’s majors, the lowest ever recorded by a player who didn’t win.
“Any time you have an opportunity to achieve something like winning the Race to Dubai or the Order of Merit, as it was when I last won it, you have to take it. I would love to win it in the ‘modern era’ as I call it,” said Rose.
But the 35-year-old will not have it all his own way against a high-class field containing the top five challengers to McIlroy, who is not playing this week.
Englishman Danny Willett, in second place, needs a top-25 finish to overhaul McIlroy after closing the gap to just 74,213 points with third place across the city at the WGC-HSBC Champions last week. Then come Ireland’s Shane Lowry (727,579 points behind McIlroy), South Africa’s Louis Oosthuizen (791,816 behind), Rose and another South African Branden Grace (926,625 behind).
All can hit the No. 1 spot before the season’s climax next week with a win on Sunday.
BEIJING, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Qiao Hao, a trade union leader at a foreign-funded high-tech company in Shanghai, uses three phrases to describe trade unions in China.
"A communication channel, a legal requirement, and cooperation between employers and employees, " said Qiao, who is also an IT manager in his company.
"Particularly during times of crisis like a mass layoff, the trade union is an important communication channel," said Qiao, who is attending the ongoing 16th national congress of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) here.
Four years ago, Qiao's company relocated one of its plant from Shanghai to an inland city in western China during the global financial crisis, to reduce costs. The closure of the Shanghai plant affected more than 1,000 workers.
"After receiving the official layoff notice, the trade union started to act," recalled Qiao, who declined to name his company. "We collected opinions from employees about compensation and talked with the company about the package."
"To ensure global supply, our company needed the Shanghai plant to run normally before the new plant was put into operation. That was our leverage in the bargaining," said Qiao.
Through their efforts, the Shanghai plant ran smoothly during the relocation and the laid-off employees were compensated by more than the initial package, said Qiao. "It is a win-win solution for the company and employees," said Qiao, who reckons it is very important to recognize the difference between Chinese and foreign trade unions.
Trade unions in China advocate harmonious relationships and are committed to communication between employees and employers. China has the most trade union members in the world, with memberships totaling 280 million by June, 2013. Nearly one out of every five Chinese is a member of a trade union.
Among Global 500 companies based in China, 91.9 percent have now established trade unions. Besides coordinating labor relations, trade unions help companies build a corporate culture and carry out activities such as games, lectures and seminars to help employees relieve work pressure and do a better job.
