This game is so inconsistent. They simply have to strip down it and take it back to the bare minimum, start from scratch. But more than likely they'll resale us a classic gimmick in madden 2021 and we see these issues occuring that you're pointing out. It is the exact same old song. I think he means starting the way we go to the shit that is madden today rather than the pre 2012 maddens. Only an assumption though. They've never only started from scratch but its made for the frostbite engines that they employed for the new generation consoles.

It was bare bones, especially compared to it's OG counter components. They dropped all the items had done in the past, they didn't do if they transitioned to the era that was PS2/Xbox in the age. That's not starting from scratch and changing the entire game. It was still the exact same gameplay with only less features like announcers. The principles were still exactly the same. Like today they then add and eliminate attributes those attributes back in order that they can call it a feature.

It is a soccer match, what are you expecting to alter in the entirety of it? Even if 989 Sports, 2k, and others were making sports games, they didn't feel different. Were attributes in and outside the gameplay. That along with everything else which was a norm being lost along with the match being the most vanilla game in years seems for me like a blank slate.

The difference between those games and Madden was that those games played had improved demonstrations and were more economical at least 2k had been anyhow. Madden has no competition so that they can put the same game every year using the exact same issues every year, not fix anything. All they do is set out a carbon copy of the previous year with a roster upgrade and occasionally add something which actually used to maintain the game and call it a new inclusion. Sometimes they do not even change banners or anything. It is half assed and when someone can run over 130+ operating plays in a championship with no single pass and use a punter since the QB you will find issues.
