Police recover van that carried trained sniffing dogs
The truck, a yellow 2003 GMC vehicle, was stolen earlier in the day from the Four Points hotel in the 2900 block of Pembina Highway, after the owner had left it running and unattended.
There were 10 scent detection dogs inside the truck when it was stolen; eight of the dogs were later found by police following a complaint of some unleashed dogs in the Parkville Drive area.
The two missing animals, a five year old yellow Labrador named Titan and a Hermes bag fake seven month old silver Labrador named Bailey, were missing for a few hours before they were eventually located and recovered in the area of Dunkirk Drive and Moore Avenue.
No arrests have been made. Police are still investigating.
