Voopoo X217 Review from freemexy's blog

The voopoo x217 mod is the latest dual-battery mod from Voopoo, and it is manufactured by Woody Vapes. Woody Vapes has been making mods for a few years now but never became really popular. They are the manufacturer of the GENE chip which was popularized in the Voopoo Drag mod a few years ago. They eventually got purchased by Voopoo and started manufacturing mods for them.

The X217 is a dual 2×700 battery mod, which means you can use 21700, 20700 or 18650 batteries with it. It’s rated at 217 watts with an upgraded screen and of course their GENE chip. I’m not sure of the color options available as I couldn’t find any reliable information on that, but I have seen pictures of a few color options. Mine is listed on the box as “purple jade” and it’s a gunmetal body with black/red/blue resin accents.
When I first saw this mod, I was pretty impressed by the design and feel of it. The finish looks great and it has carbon fiber accents, some nice resin panels on the back and the fire button, a bright large color screen, and a centered platform for the 510 to handle 30 mm atomizers. It reminded me a lot of the SX mini G class mod, but a little bigger and made to accommodate larger batteries.

The Voopoo X217 Mod is a very nicely built and well-designed mod that is quite comfortable to hold in the hand. It’s a simple oval-shaped symmetrical mod with a front facing screen and a centered 510 pin. There have been a few mods like this in 2018, like the Modefined Lyra and HCigar Wildwolf, and I’ve always been a fan of the design. It has a good weight to it as well, not very heavy but feels solid. It’s not much bigger than a dual-18650 mod either. While many 21700 mods have hit the market in 2018 due to their new popularity, most have been single-cell, so it’s nice to see another one come out with that battery configuration. Much like the SX mini G Class, the sides have black carbon fiber accents and the fire button and back have resin panels on them. Very similar to the resin we see on the Drags, so likely from the same supplier. There is also a programmable U-shaped LED strip on the front of the mod.
