LEGO MINIFIGURES- THE MOST-POPULAR AND RAREST OF THEM

LEGO Minifigures were introduced in 1978 and have since then become the most-beloved toys in the world. These Minifigures, also called "minifigs" are imaginative and educational collectibles, hence the high demand for them. LEGO Minifigs are made from anthropomorphized plastics, made into original characters with clothing and facial designs. Each LEGO Minifigure series contain 16 different minifigs, some contain 9 while others have up to 22.
If you are looking to build your own LEGO Minifigure collection, we have curated a list of the most popular and rarest LEGO Minifigures you should know about.

The classic space astronauts belong to the Space theme - one of the most popular LEGO themes. These LEGO minifigs can be found on every toy shelf; this could be a factor of their imaginative design and play. These Minifigures are a way LEGO showed us that an engaging design can come in the simplest ways.

The Classic Astronauts have a simple design and were initially made available in red and white, and later in yellow, blue, and black. They were the first astronauts from the space theme released in 1978. The classic space astronauts had stickers in matching colors on their torso.

Few facts; They are available in 5 different spacesuit colors- white, red, black, yellow, and blue. The minifig designs have remained unchanged. These astronauts have air tanks, smiley faces, a rocket circling the moon as a chest emblem, and a one-color spacesuit.
2. Indiana Jones (Amazon link)

Indiana Jones is a popular LEGO Minifigure released in 2008. He is a professor and adventurer, and the lead character of the Indiana Jones theme. His custom outfit is a fedora, tan pants, flesh-colored face, a dark brown jacket over his torso, and a shoulder bag. Indiana Jones's most common weapon is a whip.

Indiana Jones Minifigure was named after a popular Hollywood movie character. LEGO Indiana Jones has a few different variations including the Regular with an Open-mouthed grin, Desert, Tuxedo, Grey suit. This Minifigure set is a favorite of many. It recorded a large sale and boosted LEGO profit robustly when it was released in 2008.

3. San Diego Comic-Con Superheroes

Superheroes are a big genre in entertainment. In 2012, LEGO created minifigs out of San Diego comic superheroes. Initially, LEGO made a limited edition series of only 1,000 pieces of four superhero Minifigures. The characters were DC comics' Bizarro and Shazam, Marvel's Venom and Phoenix.

The San Diego Comic-Con Superheroes were displayed on unique cards resembling comic book covers. A small brick was included in the design to help the superhero minifigs stand.
4. Blacktron (Amazon link)

Blacktron is a set of rebellious astronauts of the space theme. The astronaut minifigs in shiny black uniforms are the scoundrels and thieves of the LEGO minifigs. They are stylish and intimidating, rather considered a step up from the simple design of Classic Space Astronauts. As the bad guys theme, it featured a large spacecraft- The Renegade.

LEGO released Blacktron II or Blacktron Future Generation in 1991. Blacktron II has a slightly different color scheme, which suggests an upgrade era between Blacktron I and Blacktron II. Blacktron minifigs were featured as prisoners on Space Police I.

New and exclusive LEGO Collectible Minifigure revealed

DK Books’ next LEGO Collectible Minifigures title will include a brand new and exclusive Rock Star minifigure. To get more news about kopf Minifigures, you can visit minifigureonline.com official website.

Meet the Minifigures is the latest book from DK to focus on the Collectible Minifigures series, and just like 2013’s LEGO Minifigures: Character Encyclopedia and 2015’s I Love That Minifigure!, it’s set to include a brand new character to collect.

Where those books brought us a Toy Soldier and Zombie Skateboarder, Meet the Minifigures will include an exclusive Rock Star minifigure, with what appears to be new torso and head prints. While this isn’t a Collectible Minifigure in the strictest sense – it doesn’t come in a blind bag, for one – all three of DK’s exclusive characters are considered part of the collection by fans.Compiled by veteran LEGO author Helen Murray, Meet the Minifigures will be released on June 14, 2022, but you can already pre-order it from Amazon. According to the book’s blurb, it’s full of ‘fun facts, jokes, play ideas and build inspiration’, covering minifigures including Race Car Guy, Party Clown and Pizza Costume Guy.

There’s no mention of the LEGO Group’s many recent licensed Collectible Minifigures, so like previous DK Books titles, you can probably expect Meet the Minifigures to focus exclusively on in-house launches, up to and including this year’s 71029 Series 21 – and possibly next year’s rumoured Series 22.

A NEW LICENSED LEGO COLLECTIBLE MINIFIGURES SERIES IS COMING IN 2022!

As we wind up the year, LEGO fans are now beginning to turn their attention towards 2022, and LEGO’s VP of Design, Matthew Ashton has dropped a pretty huge teaser and clue for LEGO’s Collectible Minifigures in 2022!To get more news about Minifigures online, you can visit minifigureonline.com official website.

Matthew of course recently designed the Everyone is Awesome set, and oversees a large number of LEGO’s core themes such as LEGO City, Friends, Creator, Classic, Technic, Speed Champions, Monkie Kid, Ninjago and Collectible Minifigures. In a recent Instagram Q&A, Matthew was asked about his “dream” LEGO Minifigure license – where he remarked that one of his dream licenses is actually on the way for 2022, but he couldn’t say more for obvious reasons.

Oh, and for something a little more recent, Matthew has also teased a new set, featuring these white masonry bricks which will be revealed very, very soon! It’s time to start speculating feverishly, but it’s safe to infer that this is a new license from LEGO, and something they’ve never done in the LEGO Collectible Minifigures series, if this is his “dream license”.

My predictions? If I had to pick 3 predictions it would be… a Muppets or Sesame Street-themed series. It’s no secret that Matthew Ashton loves all classic pop culture, and LEGO have already invested heavily in head moulds from 2020’s excellent Sesame Street set.

Coupled with the insane variety and quality of moulds that we saw in 2021’s Looney Tunes series, I could definitely see LEGO introducing more Sesame Street or go full Muppets.

2022 is going to be a massive year for Sesame Street, as there is meant to be a star-studded live action adaption in development (which has gone quiet), so I can absolutely see LEGO seizing the timing and opportunity to release a Sesame Street series, which would be immensely popular.

I mean, what better way to introduce characters that were missing from the Ideas set such as The Count, Abby, Grover, Kermit and more?

I’m super excited as LEGO have really upped the ante with the LEGO Collectible Minifigures series in 2021, with the recent Marvel Studios Series, and Looney Tunes breaking new ground for what can be expected from the long-running LEGO Minifigures theme – I never thought we’d see a Marvel series, but here we are.

To learn more about the design process behind the LEGO Minifigures Series, be sure to check out my interview with Astrid Graabæk and Graphics Designer Mark Tranter from earlier this year.
