"Can BOTOX Make Me Look Younger?"

Potential patients come to our Lenexa office to receive aesthetic treatments. They want to look younger. We asked Dr. Margolin his advice for patients who have unrealistic expectations about aesthetic treatments. Dr. Margolin told us that he is an M.D. and not a magician. I know that people want to look their best. Everyone wants to feel great. BOTOX may temporarily reduce lines and wrinkles, but these treatments cannot make people look as good or famous as they did in college.

What are the Aesthetic Injectables Treatments?

Dr. Margolin describes aging skin as a piece of paper. You can fold a piece of paper in many different ways for decades and get permanent wrinkles. This is what happens in our skin. BOTOX or JUVEDERM are injectable treatments that temporarily reduce wrinkles by relaxing facial muscles, filling in specific areas, and temporary reducing the appearance of signs of aging.

What is BOTOX, and how can it help you?

The treatment reduces the appearance wrinkles by relaxing facial muscle, but it's not as dramatic and drastic as plastic surgery. BOTOX may be able to help patients with forehead lines and eyebrow creases. BOTOX reduces the appearance and texture of lines, as well as preventing them from creasing your skin. BOTOX can't treat wrinkles and lines caused due to loss of facial fullness. JUVEDERM, a dermal injectable that fills in the gaps between your skin and the rest of the body, is used to treat these issues.

What is JUVEDERM?

Even though it might not seem like this, our face loses fat with age, particularly in the cheek area. As we age, our faces become thinner and more saggy. This leads to wrinkles such as laugh lines and loss of volume.

The injectable fillers also known as dermal fillers can be used to increase facial volume. JUVEDERM is one type of filler. It is made up of a hyaluronic Acid that gives the cheeks more volume, giving it a more youthful appearance. JUVEDERM is also used to plump the lips. Lips lose their fullness over time. JUVEDERM dermalfiller is also used to eliminate dark circles under eyes. It can make a big difference in the appearance of certain patients.

Advice from Dr. Margolin

Dr. Margolin, founder of Physician Aesthetics Specialists, tells patients that JUVEDERM and BOTOX "make you look just like you" with less visible facial lines. Difference between JUVEDERM (BOTOX) and JUVEDERM

What's the difference in Juvederm and BOTOX injections? Both therapies have the same goals, but they have different active components. These non-invasive injections will be administered by a qualified medical doctor. or an experienced medical aesthetician. You can learn all about these distinctions to make an informed decision

BOTOX

BOTOX can also be used as a non-invasive treatment for wrinkles. However, it's made of very different ingredients. BOTOX injections can relax and soften wrinkles. BOTOX injections are used to smoothen lines and soften the wrinkles.

Vertical lines drawn between the eyebrows (also known as "glabellarlines")

Eye wrinkles (crow's feet).

The forehead wrinkles

Juvederm

Juvederm does not require any surgery and is non-invasive. Each treatment contains a gel containing hyaluronic to "fill" any visible wrinkles. Different types of volumizing solutions are available to adults in various formulations. They can be used to treat different types of wrinkles.

Juvederm Ultra XC, lips and mouth area (including "parentheses") lines

Juvederm VolbellaXC, for volumizing lips and creating lines with your lips

Juvederm VollureXC for lines that "parentheses", outlining your nose, and mouth

Juvederm Voluma XC is a product that adds volume to the cheeks

Juvederm XC is for "parentheses", and any other wrinkles around nose and mouth

What to Expect From BOTOX and Juvederm Treatments

These procedures, Juvederm as well as BOTOX, take very little time and are very effective. Due to the amount of treatments required, larger areas may need more.

How long each treatment will last

Both treatments are effective, but Juvederm has a faster recovery time and is considered more long-lasting. BOTOX is effective for a few days but fades after a few weeks. To maintain your results, you will need to get additional treatments. The manufacturer may give you an indication that results from Juvederm injections might be visible immediately.

BOTOX injections such as Juvederm take just a few minutes and are very painless. The greater the area of skin that needs to be treated, you'll need more injections. It may take longer to complete multiple injections. The results of BOTOX treatments can take up to 24 hours to see.

The results of treatments

Here are some key distinctions between the outcomes of each therapy. Juvederm injections are often visible immediately. One to two years is the predicted time period for which Juvederm injections can have an effect, but results will vary from person-to-person. The long-term effects of different formulations can differ greatly. BOTOX treatments can be completed in as little as four months.

Prices

The following factors can affect the final cost of Juvederm and Botox treatments:

The treatment area

Number of injections required

How often you will have to come back for follow-up injections Wherever you are

Each visit begins with an extensive facial assessment. Dr. Margolin will then create a treatment plan using BOTOX(r), Juvederm (r) dermal fillers and medical-grade skincare products from SkinMedica.

Dr. Margolin has been certified in using BOTOX to treat chronic migraine headaches. He has created a unique, integrated, multi-specialty clinic that treats chronic migraine headaches. We will soon launch a hormone substitute therapy program that utilizes the Biote Pellet. The correction of hormone deficiencies, such as Estrogen and Testosterone will help reverse aging. You'll be able to relive your best years.

Although facial wrinkles are an inevitable part of aging, they can be treated. Kansas City's Physician Aesthetic Specialists have solutions that can reduce the appearance and severity of wrinkles around the eyes.

Reduce visible signs and symptoms of aging. You can reduce wrinkles and fine lines without having to undergo surgery. As you age you might notice fine lines and wrinkles appearing on the skin. Most people see wrinkles around the eyes and lines around their mouths first.

As we age, our skin becomes thinner and dryer. Skin is more sensitive to stressors like sun exposure, stress or repeated facial expressions. Poor hydration and prolonged exposure to pollutant can also accelerate skin aging.

It is possible to reverse the visible signs and effects of aging by using non-surgical methods that appear natural.

Wrinkle Reduction treatments. Juvederm(r). Juvederm(r) is a specially formulated product that promotes collagen production and reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Juvederm's results last approximately one year.

Botox (r) is an effective and quick method to smoothen the lines around the eyes. Botox reduces wrinkles caused by facial muscles, resulting in smoother facial lines.

Anti-Aging Skincare. Our advanced skin care products have been specifically formulated to combat and prevent visible signs that can be caused by aging. The combination of medical-grade and natural ingredients gives you proven results.

Conditions We Treat. Kansas City's Physician-Aesthetic Specialists treats many conditions related with aging and aesthetics.

Our non-surgical and minimally invasive procedures can help you attain the youthful, vibrant look you want.

Resolvable Conditions Wrinkles. We offer a variety of non-surgical treatments that reduce the appearance and severity of wrinkles.

The loss in cheek volume due to loss of collagen or elastin as we age is called Facial Volume Loss. Facial volume reduction can be treated to restore a youthful and natural appearance. Double chin. If extra fat is accumulated beneath the chin, a double-chin can occur. A double chin can be reduced with non-surgical procedures.

You can find more treatments. Face Jowls. The main reason people appear older is because they lose facial volume. The effects of gravity begin to show in certain areas of the face, such as the neck, chin, and jowls. Thin Lips. The appearance of your entire face can be affected by lip enhancement. A lip lift can give you a more youthful look. Migraine Headaches. Dr. Margolin has been certified to administer BOTOX for chronic migraine headaches. You may be able to benefit from BOTOX injections if you suffer from migraine attacks at least 15 days per month.

You deserve a youthful and vibrant appearance. Non-surgical treatments can reverse and prevent the signs of aging.

Ageing can begin as early as 20 years old. Genetics can greatly influence the natural aging process. This may manifest in visible lines on the forehead, loss of facial volume, or thinner skin. Many lifestyle and environmental factors, such as smoking, alcohol consumption, and diet, can make us appear older than our actual age.

It is possible slow down the visible signs and improve the skin's texture, tone and overall appearance. Non-surgical treatments are quick and painless, with little to no discomfort. There is also a very low risk of adverse reactions. Furthermore, our procedures are always performed by experienced surgeons, which ensures that you receive the highest quality of care.

Aging Causes Volume Loss. It is often a natural part of the aging process, some factors can accelerate the process, such as:

  • Sun exposure
  • Hormonal changes
  • Certain medications
  • Smoking
  • Stress
  • Illness
  • Poor hydration
  • Treatments

While we all take care of our bodies, many don't show it as often as they should. But our faces are another story. It's not surprising that 99% cosmetics are designed for the face. It's not surprising that cosmetics are no longer sufficient for our faces as we age. It's normal to experience wrinkles, lines and sunken areas. In the past, a facelift was all that was needed. We aren't dissinging plastic surgery. In fact we believe that it is a good idea to do whatever makes your self-esteem better. It's clear that plastic surgery can be expensive and dangerous.

You can get everything that a facelift does for you with fillers or relaxers. This is why they're so popular. Fillers and relaxers are much more affordable, there is very little risk, and you can reverse the effects in certain cases. If you are feeling older than you really are, you can get rid of lines, wrinkles or folds.

Nonsurgical treatments can be administered by an aesthetic nursing practitioner at the medspa. The practitioners and the plastic surgery team work together to keep practice standards and train, and also to evaluate and review results.

It doesn't have be luck-of-the draw to find a high-quality medspa. Doing your research ahead of time will help you save money, avoid hassle, and help you find exactly the medspa you are looking for.

Each medspa is different, and the procedures may differ depending on where you are. To find out what services they offer, visit the site or call ahead before you go to a medspa.

There are so many beauty products available on the market that it can be hard to know which ones will work for you. Knowing who decides which products and treatments are best is a good way to determine if you're at a top-rated med spa. High-quality med spas will employ an aesthetician or other senior staff member to select the products and lines they carry. You can learn a lot by asking why they chose that product. A quality med spa will consider the effectiveness of a product and their client feedback before deciding on a brand.

A medspa can provide a great solution for those looking for minimally invasive or non-surgical cosmetic procedures. Be sure to verify that the supervising doctor is a surgeon when choosing a medical spa for your treatments. The aesthetic skills of plastic surgeons can be very useful in a medspa setting. They are qualified to perform both surgical and nonsurgical procedures.

How To Choose The Best Medical Spa In Overland Park

Many med spas operate under the supervision of medical professionals, but are not closely monitored. Ask your med spa what their supervising physician is involved in the operation of their facility. Top med spas work closely with their supervising physicians to create the treatment menu, supervise daily operations and even provide consultations on some cases. The involvement of a licensed doctor in a medspa's operations is a good idea.

The addition of a plastic surgeon to a patient's treatment plan can make it easier for them to review all their options in order achieve their aesthetic goals.

A lot of med spas offer skin rejuvenation services. They will analyze your skin and create a plan that suits your needs. Computerized systems can use high-resolution imagery to evaluate your skin's health and guide your provider in choosing the right course of skin care. A quality med spa will offer a followup analysis to assess how your treatment plan works.

Where can I Find Lip Fillers near Overland Park?

Fillers made from hyaluronic acids (HA) are used because it is a natural substance that is already in the skin. HA provides nutrients, softens the skin and increases its volume. HA is a superior filler for the face because it can take on 1000 times its weight of water. These clear gel formulas of HHA were specifically designed to mimic the body's naturally produced HA. They instantly add volume and reduce wrinkles.

Galderma's RESTYLANE®, family of fillers uses different sizes of gel particles depending upon the product being used. Restylane Lyft®- This gel uses a large particle to increase volume, lift, and contour the cheeks.

Restylane®, a medium-sized particle gel, is used to smoothen parentheses around the mouth and add volume to the lips.

Restylane Silk®, a small gel particle that helps to reduce the lines around the mouth from smokers.

Allergan's JUVEDERM®, filler family, also uses different sizes of gel particles in its products:

Juvederm Voluma® - This large particle is used to give the cheeks volume and lift.

Juvederm Ultra Plus® - Medium gel size is used for the lips, nasolabial and surrounding areas.

Juvederm Ultra® - This is the smaller size of Juvederm Ultra that can be used to treat finer lines and wrinkles.

SCULPTRA AESTHETIC®,   is a injectable made of poly-L-lactic Acid ( PLLA ), which stimulates collagen to increase volume in people with advanced volume loss. The procedure typically requires 2-3 treatments, spaced 6-8 weeks apart. This allows your own collagen to be stimulated with the micro-particles from PLLA. This natural, youthful appearance can last up to 2 years.

ARQUEDERMA®, ARTISTIC RESTORATION LOFT®.

The ArqueDerma®, Artistic Restoration Lift®, is a patented technique that Leslie Fletcher (RN, MEP–C) developed to deliver FDA-approved dermal fillers like Restylane Lyft and Voluma®. This revolutionary technique was developed by Leslie Fletcher, RN, MEP-C while she worked with thousands of patients as both an aesthetic nurse injector and a trainer.

The ArqueDerma®, a technique that corrects volume loss, collects excess facial volume and allows the practitioner or therapist to redirect it into facial hollows. The ArqueDerma®, which is based on precepts from physics and architectural engineering allows for 40% more dermal fillers and stimulates neocollagenesis to produce longer-lasting results. Many times, your appearance can be affected by aging, sun damage, weight loss, and other factors. We aim to improve your nest features and reduce those that are not perfect through the creative use of ArqueDerma®, FDA approved dermal fillers, and the patented ArqueDerma®. This technique allows us to offer more than just a fresh, new look. It also transforms the way that others perceive you.

The ArqueDerma®, Philosophy

"The art of reshaping the face to its most natural aesthetically-pleasing proportions lies in enhancing and supporting the basic underlying structure" Leslie Fletcher, RN, MEP-C
