Take a Bus to Kollam City: A trip to remember!

Kollam is situated on the shores of Ashtamudi Lake within the state of Kerala. It is the southern gateway to Backwaters of Kerala and is a prominent traveller vicinity. Kollam is an old port town and is likewise known by its anglicized name Quilion. The district went under the rule of the Chera Dynasty until the development of the Venad Kingdom in the ninth century. In long past circumstances, the city dealt with exchange relations with China, Egypt and Malaysia. It was profoundly impacted by the social trades that happened amid the Sangam rule.

Kollam city is associated well by roadways. I took a bus from Bangalore to Kollam city, while I booked online tickets from redbus.in . This bus-booking portal helped me to experience a bother free bus transport travel. I selected Kallada Travels AC premium Sleeper bus that took 13 hours to reach Kollam. AC sleeper bus makes the long journey convenient for travellers commuting between the two cities. The bus gave rest stops and the staff was friendly and humble. The bus went through scenic locations and I had a good sleep in the moving bus.

Once I got down at Chinnakada in Kollam, our shuttle was waiting to take us to our hotel. I booked hotel rooms in advance, as many people visit this beautiful city at most of the times. We stayed in Kollam for 4 days and explored its attractions. I relished my taste buds with delicious Kerala cuisine! In general, it was a stunning bus travel activity as I boarded the transport at 8pm from Marathalli. It went through different areas and reached Kollam the following day at 9am. I was going with a gathering of friends; it was a little get-away where we were keen on exploring the port town. Our travel list included Lighthouse, Ashtamudi Lake, Chavara, Thangasseri, Rameshwaram temple and some more.
