Releasing the Belief in Private Thoughts. By: David Hoffmeister from James_Worden's blog

One of the biggest secrets we try to keep is a sense of autonomy and pride. The idea or feeling that you are important in some special way, that you are loved with a special person, that somebody is giving you special attention, they're a few of the ego's very subtle secrets. We want to hide our Divine Self and are playing all these different games, which appear to be very upsetting. It is pretty depressing and it certainly doesn't go anywhere, so we try to get scraps of special love, attention and recognition to prop ourselves up.

We work so difficult at becoming “better people”, at gaining greater intelligence and more skills. We desire to be liked more and be much more popular. The whole self-help industry is focused on improving the self to help you become a better you. That's another trick we secretly play on ourselves, thinking we've to keep spinning our wheels attempting to become better. This self-improvement game is another secret we can to learn to let go of. It is very relaxing once you start to appreciate that you don't need certainly to become any benefit than you already are. You had been created perfect. It is not through self-improvement that you will find peace but through self-acceptance.

As I caused A Course in Miracles, I could note that there clearly was a fear of divine love in my own mind. I realized this is the ego's concern with losing itself. The ego is afraid of being exposed and being viewed as a puff of nothingness. a course in miracles That's driving a car of intimacy. We speak about this fear in relationships, which might be projected as concern with sexual intimacy, but it is really a fear of dropping our persona, our mask of individuality. It is driving a car of getting swept away with a glorious love, a love so powerful that none people can even imagine something as glorious and powerful!

For me, those would be the big secrets, as it doesn't start out with this great awareness. It always starts with feeling like you've done something amiss, whether you've masturbated, stolen something, mistreated somebody, or there's something in your mind that you've judged as so hideous that that you don't even want to handle it, you just want to forget about it and push it out of awareness.

Underneath all those memories and thoughts, is the belief that people are separated. This is actually the “secret” we hide. It really is an impossible belief, but we believe it is true; We have judged it as horrific and have pushed it out of awareness. All unconscious guilt originates from this belief in separation. And as you truly give yourself to the miracle, you feel all those hidden beliefs and secrets are increasingly being washed away and you finally face this hidden belief in separation!

A Course In Miracles is a guide which brings you tools to reverse all fearful thoughts and beliefs. Using these tools afford them the ability to find the complete sense of freedom and peace you've been yearning for.
