Yes, we have plenty of opinions about who shines, and should fire their stylists, but we also watch to see who wins, who's fidgeting or texting when the camera catches them off guard, and how the hosts do (by the way, Jon Stewart ROCKED).
That said, we feel compelled to share some of the catty commentary from last night's annual copy cartier love rose gold viewing party:
First off all, there was way too much black, and not much of it was interesting. Charlize Theron's extravagant Dior dress with the largest bow ever showed promise, until she stood up and revealed the dress was actually wearing her. Jennifer Aniston had a necklace/neckline mismatch, and way too much of a train. Hilary Swank, a knockout in the past, was forgettable in her form fitting black gown and feathered hair. Our vote for best black dress goes to Felicity Huffman's flattering Zac Posen gown.
Least favorite color after black? The champagne tones everyone else seemed to be wearing. Sure, it shows off beautiful lace detailing (see Jessica Alba's dress), but also washes out fair actresses like Nicole Kidman who haven't amped up the bronzer for the occasion (not recommended, but prevalent).
