JERSEY CITY An 18 year old Jersey City woman accused of stabbing a former corrections officer on Friday was in court Monday alongside her mother who was arrested hours after the incident when police showed up at her home looking to take her daughter into custody.

Sakeena K. Thomas, 18, and Tamia T. Thomas, 43, both of Martin Luther King Drive near Van Nostrand Avenue, made their first court appearances on the charges in Central Judicial Processing via video link from Hudson County jail in Kearny.
