CHOOSING A GAME MOUSE OR WHAT IS DPI?

Sensitive
dpi (dots per inch) is the number of dots (not pixels) per inch that the mouse sees on your monitor. For comfortable work on a Full-HD monitor, 3500 - 4000 dpi is required. Why, then, are 8200 dpi sensors built into top mice? For games like Conter-Strike where reaction speed and accuracy are important. But even there 8200 is too much, 6000 - 6500 is enough, everything above is mostly marketing. A large sensor resolution is needed only for shooters, for MOBA and MMORPG games, a more modest one is quite enough. However, if you have a 4k or Retina monitor, then this resolution may not even be enough for you.

Mouse type
Mice are divided into two main types: symmetrical and asymmetrical. Mice of the first type are suitable for both right-handers and left-handers, and the second - only for right-handers. However, most MMO mice (like the Razer Naga Epic) are asymmetrical.

Separately, it is worth highlighting the transformer mice. Some, like the Razer Ouroboros, can be symmetrical or asymmetrical due to interchangeable side panels. And some, such as Cyborg RAT 7, can only be asymmetrical, but provide more customization options. However, these are not all the differences between transforming mice! They often adjust almost everything - from the aforementioned side panels to weight.

Also, when choosing a mouse, you should pay attention to the response speed - it should be no more than 2-3 milliseconds. You should also pay attention to the type of sensor - almost all gaming mice are equipped with laser sensors that provide greater accuracy than optical sensors, but behave incorrectly without a mat, unlike optical ones, which practically do not care which surface to work on. However, there are now dual-sensor compromise solutions.

The maximum acceleration of the mouse is the limit after which it ceases to distinguish the surface underneath.

So what should you choose?
Shooters (8200 dpi)
First person shooters require high reaction speed and accuracy. I would recommend the Razer Ouruboros, Razer Taipan, Cyborg RAT 9 (7.5), SteelSeries Sensei.

MMORPG,MOBA (6400 dpi)
In this genre, it is not so much the speed of movement of the mouse that is important, but the speed of pressing the buttons on which various actions are hung. Therefore, there are a lot of buttons on the mice for this genre of games. Of all of them, I can highlight: Razer Naga 2014 / Epic, Cyborg MMO 7.

Strategy, RTS (4000-6400 dpi)
It is not speed that is important here, but accuracy and comfort for your hand so that it does not get tired during long sessions. Here I can recommend the Razer Krait 2013 and the Tt eSports Theron Infrared.

Rugs
Rugs have a significant impact on comfort, accuracy and speed of movement when using a mouse and should not be neglected. The best are plastic and aluminum - they are more durable than fabric, and the mouse glides on them better. I recommend the Razer Manticor and the SteelSeries 9HD.
